Etc to the list

I would like to share some tips for those who are heading for Pulau Ubin.
Boat ride costs $2 per person (boat will only leave when there are at least 10 pax) . Takes about 10 mins boat ride to Ubin. If you are bringing your own bike, there's additional charges of $2 for your bike........Bikes rental are also available at $5 for the whole day (brand new bikes at $8 for the whole day).
Superb seafood are available from lunch onwards...............do try the braised wild boar meat, hor fun, chilli/pepper crabs and many varieties of sizzling hot plates to satisfy your tastebuds!!!
Dying for a nice cold drink while you cycle??? Fret not, you can find many small huts or kiosks offering mineral water or ice cold soda to quench your thirst.
Ubin provides a much-needed escapade from the hustle and bustle of city life in Singapore. Its rustic and natural charm draws about 300,000 visitors each year. The idyllic setting is ideal for outdoor activities.
Ubin is largely of a series of undulating, granite hills. In the early days, granite mining supported a few thousand settlers. Much of the original vegetation was also cleared for the cultiviation of rubber and crops like coffee, pineapple, coconut and jasmine. Today, abandoned granite quarries remain as picturesque relics of Ubin's history, while forests and grassland have regenerated to cover up the ravages of the past.
I had also discovered that there were many shrines in Ubin.........the German girl shrine , a Thai Temple, Taoist temples, many fruit trees and a bird sanctuary!!!!
